Free help finding a job

We provide free help finding and preparing for a job at our Workforce Connection Centers in North Lawndale, Aurora and Englewood.

We’re helping people interested in clean energy jobs connect to programs and training offered through the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. Our new program, funded in partnership by the Steans Family Foundation, provides access to entry and mid-level career opportunities to residents of the North Lawndale area.

Our Empower Youth program increases access to careers in STEM and growing trade industries. In partnership with ComEd, Goodwill helps young people prepare for and find a job through soft skills job training, mentorship and one-on-one support.

Serving those who serve our country

For more than 25 years, Goodwill Great Lakes has been a proud partner of the U.S. Navy, supporting its only bootcamp, Naval Station Great Lakes in Great Lakes, Illinois. Goodwill provides services to the Naval Station including food and postal services, uniform distribution and warehousing.

We also support the AbilityOne Program in partnership with the Navy and SourceAmerica. People with significant disabilities work side-by-side with typically abled employees to support those serving our country. This unique work environment allows employees to gain real-world work experience through on-the-job skills training and support.
