Extending mission services to support Goodwill employees 

Goodwill helps people in our communities overcome barriers to employment. The Employee Empowerment Network extends our mission services inward from the outside to our store and donation centers – providing support around life coaching, housing, education, food and overall health – ensuring employees are confidently equipped to grow personally and professionally. 

Lead Empowerment Specialists are at the heart of the Employee Empowerment Network. These individuals are driven by a profound commitment to empowering individuals and witnessing their success. Every employee is treated as an individual. Lead Empowerment Specialists, Judith and Patricia, help employees connect with local resources, navigate internal Goodwill programs or find opportunities to help them reach their goals.

“Using my 15 years of experience working within social services, I’m able to provide resources to our employees in Illinois. It’s my passion in life to serve people and encourage them every step of the way to help them achieve their goals,” Judith, lead empowerment specialist, shares.

The Employee Empowerment Network team thrives on providing personalized, in-person support and developing genuine relationships.

“One of my greatest achievements is being of service to others and seeing the results of teamwork. This role has contributed to my own personal development and progress. Empowering our employees in Wisconsin unlocks a sense of a meaningful journey in life for me. This is the gift that keeps on giving,” shares Patricia, lead empowerment specialist, reflecting on her experience.
