Goodwill Named Workforce Development Partner for Aurora Health Care’s “The Beacon”
New partnership will expand access to career services and opportunities on Milwaukee's Near West Side
Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago will play a key role in a major new community resource coming to Milwaukee's Near West Side.
Aurora Health Care recently announced that Goodwill will serve as the workforce development partner for The Beacon, a health and wellness hub scheduled to open in spring 2027. Located in the former Wisconsin Avenue School building, The Beacon is being developed as a community destination that brings together organizations and services supporting health, well-being, stability and opportunity.
Through a community access point, Goodwill will provide workforce development and employment services to help individuals build skills, explore career pathways and connect to meaningful employment opportunities.
For Goodwill, the partnership represents another way to advance our mission by helping people access the resources, training and support they need to reach their goals.

At The Beacon, Goodwill's workforce development services will help community members:
