David Marcus Elected Board Chair for Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago
Notable community leader steps into the role at nonprofit with a mission to get job seekers ready to work, create community stability and support the workforce of the future
David Marcus has been elected board chair of Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago. During his three-year term, he will help oversee strategy execution as well as growth in support of Goodwill’s mission.
Marcus joined the Goodwill board in 2012 and has served as a board officer, committee chair and committee member. He succeeds Irene Sudac, who will remain on the board as a director.
“I am honored to step into the role of board chair for Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago and look forward to working closely with our leadership team,” said Marcus. “Together, we will continue providing exceptional experiences for our shoppers, donors and the people we serve throughout our community while remaining focused on our long-term growth priorities.”
Marcus is managing director and chief executive officer of Marcus Investments. He holds an MBA in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BSBA in finance from Boston University. In addition to Goodwill, he is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of the Marcus Performing Arts Center, and having previously served on the boards of several charitable organizations, including the Froedtert Hospital Foundation, City Year and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.
