Goodwill Opens Store and Donation Center In Chicago’s Avondale Neighborhood
The Goodwill Store & Donation Center in Avondale opened its doors for shoppers and donors on November 22, 2024.
Goodwill opens a third store and donation center in the City of Chicago within the Avondale neighborhood.
Located at 3558 N. Spaulding Ave., the store and donation center features a modern look, nearly 9,000-square-feet of thrift shopping space, and an enclosed heated drive thru to easily drop off donations in any season.
Shoppers will find a wide variety of secondhand, vintage and unique clothing and household items stocked daily with reuse, upcycle and repurposing potential. With the help of shoppers and donors, Goodwill keeps millions of pounds of clothing and household items out of the landfill.
“Avondale is a vibrant and dynamic neighborhood with a rich history on the city’s northwest side,” said Dan Michael, vice president, retail stores and donation centers at Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago. “We are proud to be part of its future by providing meaningful employment and a sustainable shopping option to give items a second life while giving back.”
The opening of the Goodwill Store & Donation Center in Avondale creates nearly 50 new jobs in the community. Community members interested in joining Goodwill can apply online.
