Sudac Elected Board Chair for Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc.

Irene Sudac has been elected board chair of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. During her three-year term, she will help oversee one of the largest Goodwill agencies in the world, which provides employment, training and support for people experiencing barriers to work across Southeastern Wisconsin and Metropolitan Chicago.

Sudac joined the Goodwill board in 2011, previously serving as vice chair as well as a member of many committees and taskforces overseeing audit, risk and compliance, human resources, governance, and diversity, equity and inclusion. She succeeds Tim Mattke, who will remain on the board as a director.

Sudac is vice president of financial services at Kenosha, Wisconsin-based Snap-on Incorporated, a leading global innovator and manufacturer of tools, equipment, diagnostics, repair information and systems solutions for professional users. In that role, she oversees treasury activities and the Snap-on Credit Corporation. In addition, she manages the corporate risk group and is president of Snap-on SecureCorp. Prior to joining Snap-on in 2010, she held executive positions with Cabot Corporation and Philips International.

"I’m thrilled to be named board chair of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc.,” she said. “It has been my honor to serve on the board for the past 11 years. We have accomplished great things during that time, seeing remarkable growth and progress in achieving our mission. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the board and the entire Goodwill family to maintain that momentum.”

Jackie Hallberg, president and chief executive officer of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc., said, “We are delighted to have Irene as our new board chair. As a leader in the workforce development space, Goodwill is evolving to continue to meet the need of the communities we serve, and our board plays a vital role in guiding this work. Irene’s strong leadership and tremendous commitment to our mission will help ensure our continued success on that journey. We also are deeply grateful to Tim for the outstanding leadership he has provided as our board chair over the past three years. We look forward to his continued contributions as a member of our board.”

Goodwill’s business portfolio currently includes a robust retail operation of Goodwill Store & Donation Centers, an outlet store and an ecommerce platform, commercial laundry and linen services, Goodwill TalentBridge - a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, and Goodwill Great Lakes - providing food service, administrative and logistic services, and laundry services for the U.S. Navy.

In addition to her work with Goodwill, Sudac currently serves on the national board of directors for the Alzheimer’s Association.
