Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant - Milwaukee, WI

Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is hiring Paraprofessionals to work in the Milwaukee, WI area.

SUMMARY

Qualified candidates will work as part of TalentBridge’s contract with a large Milwaukee area school system as a Paraprofessional, aiding teachers in the classroom at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Aid classroom teachers with student instruction through individual/group tutoring, helping students with individual/class projects, and administering testing, as directed
• Under the direction from the teacher, prepare study outlines, tests, and reading lists
• Engage and oversee general classroom activities, study & library reading activities, and testing, as directed.
• Correct school assignments and tests at the request of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with specialized group and individual instruction
• Assist and operate audiovisual equipment for instructional purposes in the classroom.
• Assist the school administration in maintaining order within the school building, as needed

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree preferred, minimum of 48 college credits required
• Experience working with youth in an educational setting preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication/presentation skills
• Excellent teamwork skills

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (consistent and flexible schedules available 3-5 days per week)
• First shift hours
• Off on weekends, holidays, and school breaks!

Pay:

• $20.39/hr
