Maintenance Mechanic - Wauwatosa, WI

Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, has an IMMEDIATE need for a Maintenance Mechanic in the Milwaukee area.

This is a 1st shift role from 3am-1130am.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, machinery, systems, and facility structures.  This role is responsible for helping keep the facility operating safely and efficiently by installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility systems as scheduled or needed.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while using sound judgement in a fast-paced laundry facility environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems throughout the facility.
• Install, test, maintain, and repair mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Complete utility and structural repairs independently or in collaboration with internal and external trades.
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed according to departmental policies and warranty /vendor requirements.
• Requisition materials and supplies and help maintain inventory.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma/equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR associate/technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
