Goodwill TalentBridge is hiring a Testing Associate for an electronics manufacturing company in Elk Grove Village!

If you have experience with electronics, circuit boards, quality inspection, electrical testing, or manufacturing, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable first-shift team.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical Testing Associate, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies to ensure quality and functionality before shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical testing on printed circuit boards and electronic components
  • Set up and operate in-circuit and functional test equipment
  • Load the correct test programs and initialize testing equipment
  • Visually inspect circuit boards for defects, damaged components, and assembly issues
  • Identify reversed, polarized, and non-polarized component errors
  • Troubleshoot and document electrical and mechanical failures
  • Complete detailed testing paperwork and quality documentation
  • Follow ISO procedures, testing standards, and quality control processes
  • Communicate product failures, calibration concerns, and equipment issues to management

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Electronics testing experience
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) testing experience
  • Manufacturing or production experience
  • Quality inspection experience
  • Experience using test equipment and troubleshooting electronic assemblies

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to identify capacitors, resistors, semiconductors, and electronic components
  • Understanding of polarized and non-polarized components
  • Ability to recognize damaged, missing, or reversed components
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and following detailed procedures
  • Basic computer and documentation skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
  • Frequent handling of electronic products and testing fixtures
  • Lift up to 35 pounds as needed
  • Strong hand dexterity for cable connections, fixtures, and component inspections

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
