Logistics Dispatch / Warehouse role 1st shift, Temp to Hire
 

• Buffalo Grove, IL

• Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm 

• $23/hr. 

• Temp to hire / Permanent position 

Job Overview

We are hiring a Logistics Dispatcher to support daily routing, scheduling, and coordination of deliveries and pickups in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with steady daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate delivery routes for drivers
• Track shipments and monitor routes in real-time
• Create daily delivery manifests and match invoices
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams in a fast paced environment 
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain spreadsheets, logs, and shipping records
• Support warehouse operations including:
  • Receiving, picking, packing, loading, and unloading
• Process outbound shipments (UPS and other carriers)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist other departments as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred
• Experience in logistics, dispatch, or warehouse operations 1+ year required 
• Familiarity with routing software and Chicago-area geography
• Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities
• Good communication (phone, email, in-person)
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, shipping systems / SAP)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working at a desk and in a warehouse environment
