1st shift packer - Elk Grove Village, IL

Goodwill TalentBridge is hiring! 
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packing Associate to join a growing team in Elk Grove Village. This role is ideal for candidates with prior warehouse experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling inventory, packing, and shipping tasks.

Elk Grove Village, IL

Pay: $18.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: First Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
 

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pack assemblies to correct carton counts and apply appropriate identification labels
• Read and interpret computer-generated assembly ID forms
• Input data into the computerized packing system using a scanner or keyboard
• Follow written and verbal instructions to prepare final products for shipment
• Support inventory operations including picking, packing, put-away, cycle counting, and shipping
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Inventory & Production Support

• Report inventory discrepancies to the area supervisor
• Identify and report damaged or non-conforming materials
• Assist with providing materials to production lines

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year of warehouse, packing, or inventory experience 
• Basic computer skills and the ability to enter data accurately
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift between 25–50 lbs
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching overhead
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
