English Teacher - Milwaukee, WI

High School English Teacher

Goodwill TalentBridge is recruiting a High School English Teacher in this direct hire role with our client, a prominent Christian high school in the greater Milwaukee area. In this role you will design, plan and deliver lessons to high school students, grades 9 through 12. Lessons will reflect state standards for Wisconsin. Subject matter includes Accelerated Freshman English, Accelerated Sophomore English and AP Language. 

Candidates should have prior teaching experience within a high school environment and an academic background in English, reading and literacy. The ideal candidate will have experience developing  and implementing lessons that foster a love of literacy with academic rigor and a record of student success.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college required with a focus in education, English, literacy and reading preferred
• DPI teaching licensure (or ability to receive this)
• Teaching experience at high school level (may consider middle school teaching experience with other related experience)
• Demonstrated excellence in communication skills both written and verbal
• Wisconsin licensure 316 preferred
